Item Description
It's black, most that I see are green. It looks somewhat like a spincast reel but it works more like a spinning reel. It has a line pick-up like a spincaster but there is no button to push out the rotor. When you turn off the anti-reverse and reel backwards, the line pick-up retracts and you hold the line and cast like you would a spinning reel. Made in U.S.A. from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Front-mounted line drag adjustment cap - rare - that I've never seen on another brand. The reel has some boat rash on the bottom rear which can be seen in the last picture, but otherwise the paint is in pretty good condition. The handle knob is cracked & missing 2 chunks. (See close-up picture) The knob does not spin. It's seized on the handle shaft. The handle is slightly bent near the knob. Everything else seems to work as designed. It reels easily. The anti-reverse works. The drag works. The line pick-up pin retracts when reeled backward far enough (anti-reverse should be off to make sure it can reel backward far enough) and pops right out when reeling. I have other vintage reels available. If you are interested in 2 or more items, please send a message with an offer. If we agree on a price I can relist those items as a lot in a private listing.
