This WS2812B LED strip features individually addressable RGB pixels that let you control each LED independently with a compatible controller. Available in multiple densities (30, 60, 74, 96, or 144 LEDs per meter) and waterproofing options to match your project needs. The IP30 version offers basic protection, IP65 comes with silicon coating for moderate moisture resistance, and IP67 includes a silicon tube for full waterproofing. Each LED draws approximately 0.2W, so calculate your total wattage before purchasing a power supply. For example, a 5-meter strip with 30 LEDs per meter (150 total LEDs) requires about 30W and a 6A minimum 5V power supply. The strip connects via a 3-pin JST connector with color-coded wires: red for VCC, white for GND, and green for data signal. It requires a dedicated WS2812B controller to manage the LED sequences and colors. Note that neither the 5V power supply nor controller is included. Installation is straightforward thanks to 3M adhesive tape on the back of IP30 and IP65 versions, though you'll need a clean, dry, smooth surface for best results. The strip can be cut between each LED to create custom lengths for your specific layout. When setting up, remember that 5V is critical for proper operation; voltages above 5.5V will damage the LEDs. For longer runs, power from both ends to minimize voltage drop across the strip. The 20AWG JST connector wire provides reliable connections. Applications range from TV backlighting and ambient room lighting to entertainment venues like bars and game rooms. Avoid sharp bends and handle the strip carefully during installation.
