This RAINPOINT moisture meter works in two ways: use the large display standalone for quick readings, or pair it with the WiFi hub to access smart features through the RainPoint Home App on your phone or tablet. The hub connects via 2.4 GHz WiFi and works with models HWG023, HWG023WBRF, and HWG040. Once connected, you can monitor soil conditions remotely from anywhere and adjust settings based on specific plant types. The sensor continuously samples moisture levels and updates readings every minute, giving you real-time data to make smarter watering decisions. You customize low and high moisture thresholds for different plants, then receive push notifications and emails when soil gets too dry or too wet. This prevents both overwatering and underwatering, which keeps plants healthier. Battery alerts also send notifications so you know when to replace batteries (not included). Built with waterproof and corrosion-resistant materials, this meter handles both indoor houseplants and outdoor gardens without degrading over time. Multiple family members can receive notifications, making it easy to share plant care responsibilities.
